Turkish soaps not so clean
TEHRAN, Aug. 27 (MNA) -- Two controversial television serials produced in Turkey, “The Foreign Groom” (Yabanci Damat) and “Nour” (Light), which have been on the air for some time on an Arabic satellite network, are having a growing social impact on Arab viewers, especially those living in Persian Gulf littoral states.

Chill of ’68 in Denver air as 100 arrested
DENVER, Aug. 27 (MNA) -- Some 100 protesters were arrested on Monday night after being confronted by Denver Police. The city is on high alert with an estimated 5,000 police, Secret Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and other security forces along with helicopters hovering overhead.
