Bulgarian festival to stage Iran’s “Last Flower”
TEHRAN, Aug. 29 (MNA) -- The antiwar play “The Last Flower” by Zohreh Behruzinia will go on stage at XIX International Puppet-Theater Festival in Bulgaria.

The festival, entitled “Three are too many -- two not enough”, will be held from September 2 to 6 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

The play is based on James Thurber’s 1939 work by the same title which was about the eternal cycles of war, peace and love.


Iranian animation to compete at Leipzig festival

TEHRAN -- Iranian short animation “The Wolf and the Ewe” by Mohammad-Ali Soleimanzadeh will compete at 53 International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Films.

Produced by the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA), the film is based on a poem by Sadi.

The festival will be held from October 18 to 24.
