Tehran museum to showcase Palestine photos
TEHRAN, Aug. 30 (MNA) -- Photos by Alfred Yaqubzadeh on the theme of Palestine will go on display during an exhibition on the occasion of World Quds Day on August 31.

The Palestine Museum of Contemporary Art will be holding the 32-photo showcase.

He has published a collection of photos on Palestine and Israel war in a book entitled “Promised Peace”. “Iran-Iraq War” and “Faces of War” contains photos he has taken during Iran-Iraq war (1980-88).

His impressive documentation of religious rites, rituals and traditions in more than 24 countries and spanning 10 years, is compiled in a 220-page book, “Christianity around the World”, as is mentioned on his personal website.

World Quds Day was inaugurated by the late Imam Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic, who called upon the world’s Muslims to show solidarity with Palestinians on the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan.

The museum is located at 64 Mozaffar Bros. St., off Taleqani Ave., near Felestin Square.
