The François-Ode-Award is the jury’s 1500-euro cash prize for special humanitarian expression.
Directed by Abdorrahman Mirani, the film is about people’s endeavor to reconstruct a bridge destroyed as a result of a flood near a village in Kermanshah on the Iran-Iraq border.
In addition, “Lost World” by Hungarian filmmaker Gyula Nemes received the festival’s best short film award and “Kings of London” by British director Sean Conway won the audience award.
Asitha Ameresekere, Chris Bohn, Jing Haase, Urszula Skassa, and Pim Zwier were the members of the jury.
