Khayyam is chiefly known to English-speaking readers through the translation of a collection of his quatrains in the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam (1859), by the English writer Edward FitzGerald (1809-1883).
Scholar Mohammad-Ali Eslami Nodushan is sceduled to make a speech at the ceremony to which several foreign ambassadors and Iranian scholars have also been invited.
The collection slated to go on display contains 60 artworks featuring a combination of Persian and Latin calligraphy works along with beautiful illumination and miniature works.
The exhibit, which will be at the Sahebqaranieh Palace, is open to the public.
